Description Stop the internet censorship!

On Thursday, June 18, 2009, the introduction of internet censorship was decided in Germany. The Federal Criminal Police Office will be given the authority to create a secret list of websites that can no longer be accessed from Germany. The whole thing is happening under the guise of preventing child pornography, but as all experiences with blocking lists in other countries have shown, a censorship list is not effective for this purpose. A much better approach would be the direct deletion of the sites and the subsequent criminal prosecution of the authors. Censorship, on the other hand, only conceals the problems, and even the at least for European sites intended parallel deletion attempts will then only be carried out half-heartedly. Furthermore, the law does not respect the separation of powers, as only a police authority decides on the censorship of content, and a far-reaching censorship infrastructure is being created. Initial voices for extending it to 'killer games', gambling sites, or right-wing extremist propaganda have also already been publicly expressed.

Therefore: Let us jointly oppose this law! A first step is to clearly send a signal by wearing this shirt.

This shirt was available for free until July 5, 2009, to support you in the demonstration against the new laws. Unfortunately, the action has now ended.
