Description Dvorak Keyboard

In life, it doesn't hurt to leave the beaten path and try something new. This naturally also applies to computer accessories ;)
The Dvorak keyboard could be the start. It is an alternative to the usual QWERTZ layout and enables faster and healthier typing.
Information about the DVORAK layout
Changing the keyboard layout? Not an easy idea, after all, you have gotten used to it over the years. Perhaps the change will be easier if you keep in mind that the arrangement of the QWERTZ keyboard dates back to the time of mechanical typewriters and only had technical reasons. After all, we have long since thrown the old typewriters overboard, so why not our habits?
Switching to the DVORAK layout also offers many advantages: The key layout does not follow outdated technical conditions but is adapted to the needs of the human body and the language.
On a Dvorak keyboard, for example, the most frequently used letters are arranged in the center - in our version with the German layout, these are the most frequent letters of the German language. This and other aspects that were considered (see Wikipedia article) lead to the fingers having to travel significantly shorter distances. This is healthier for joints and tendons, allows for faster typing than with the conventional layout, and produces fewer errors.
Technical details
Our Dvorak keyboard is a German version and has 104 keys plus 21 function keys for volume, sleep mode, etc. The DVORAK layout also includes many useful special characters; for example, the e key contains not only the E but also the € (Euro sign) and the ¢ (Cent sign). The p key hosts not only the P but also the symbol for Pi. A table of all the characters is included.
To make all these special characters work, the driver should be installed under Windows. With some minor limitations, the Dvorak keyboard also works without a driver under Linux and Mac.
If you still need to practice typing on the DVORAK layout, you can simply leave your old QWERTZ keyboard connected and installed and then switch easily.
The keystroke is pleasantly soft and quiet. On the back of the keyboard, there are two fold-out stands.
Have we made the switch a bit more appealing to you? Then give the Dvorak keyboard and its alternative layout a chance! You surely won't regret it.
